Kenyan R&B artist Otile Brown delivers “Nimechoka”, a relationship song about the pain and pressure of being in a difficult love life. In the song, he opens up about how “ili penzi limenichosha nimechoka kweli limenifanya nipoteze marafiki zangu”, showing how the relationship has affected his peace and friendships. He also explains that “kila tu nikiwa nae napata shida”, as being with his partner seems to bring more problems.
Otile Brown further describes the jealousy and constant suspicion in the relationship, saying “nikiongea na demu ananifungia simu nikichelewa kurudi ananichunguza.” At first, he believed these actions were a sign of love, but after trying to tolerate the situation, he finally admits, “nilifikili ni ishara ya upendo nimejaribu kumumilia lakini moyo umechoka.” The song captures the emotions of someone who has reached the point where love has become emotionally exhausting.
